A properly developed squad of elite foresters literally sweeps away the enemy from positions. Fear helps break up the strongest battle formations, and poison finishes off the fugitives. And only then the heavy cavalry comes into play, the attack of which would otherwise be broken on the shields and spears of the defenders.
